Modular vs. Custom: What's Right for Your Kitchen?

The modular versus custom debate is one we have navigated hundreds of times with clients, and the honest answer is: it depends on your priorities. Both approaches have genuine strengths, and both have limitations that most showrooms are reluctant to acknowledge.

Modular kitchens offer speed, standardisation, and a lower entry price point. Pre-engineered units come together faster, replacement parts are readily available, and the design process is streamlined. For apartments with standard layouts and clients working within tight timelines, modular is often the right answer.

Custom kitchens, on the other hand, are built for your specific space — every millimetre accounted for, every awkward corner resolved. Our in-house furniture factory gives us the capability to manufacture bespoke units that maximise storage, accommodate unique dimensions, and achieve finishes that are simply not available in catalogue products.

Our recommendation: for spaces with non-standard dimensions, architectural features worth preserving, or clients who value the cooking experience highly enough to invest in it — custom is worth every rupee of the premium. For standard apartments where the kitchen is functional rather than central to lifestyle, modular executed well is a perfectly excellent choice.
